Speco DVRs Harmonize With Brivo Access Software

Published: April 15, 2009

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. Speco Technologies’ “T” Series DVRs are now compatible with Brivo Systems’ access-control software to add integrated online access control to a security solution with central station monitoring.

Brivo’s online Access Control System (ACS) enables businesses to control physical access to offices, warehouses, remote and unoccupied buildings, or sensitive areas such as computer rooms. This technology can retrieve time-stamped video clips of people using their access cards to enter a building.

It can be employed using a camera pointing toward an access door that’s connected locally to a “T” series DVR networked to the Internet. When an entrant swipes an access card, a video clip is recorded to the DVR; a date-and-time stamp from the card is sent to the Brivo server. The central station can look at the event dates online and access the video clip remotely from the DVR by clicking on the camera icon next to the date.
