SSI Announces Finalists for 10th Annual SAMMY Awards

TORRANCE, Calif.

After poring through dozens of entries, the judges for the
10th Annual SAMMYs (Sales and Marketing Awards) have
settled on the final list of nominees. The awards will be
given out Tuesdays, April 5 at Las Vegas’ Venetian Hotel
and
Resort during a free ceremony open to all security
professionals.

There were six companies receiving multiple nominations.
Peak Alarm of Salt Lake City led the way with three
nominations, including a grand-prize nod for Integrated
Marketing Program of the Year. Receiving two nominations
each were ADT of Boca Raton, Fla.; Guardian Protection
Services of Pittsburgh; SecurTek of Yorkton, Saskatchewan,
Canada; Sonitrol of Berwyn, Pa.; and Vector Security of
Warrendale, Pa.

More than 100 entries received by SSI for this
year’s awards were judged by a panel that included Tom
Brigham of public relations firm Brigham Scully, Beverly
Steinberg of GBL Public Relations and Jerry Lenander,
executive director of the California Alarm Association
(CAA) and owner of public relations firm Syncomm
Communications.

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony starting at 4:30
p.m. on April 5 – the day before the start of the 2005
International Security Conference (ISC) West – in the
Venetian’s Casanova Conference Room 601. Free hors
d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided.
