In what is becoming an annual tradition, Security Sales & Integration was nominated for a Western Publishing Association (WPA) Maggie Award for the fifth consecutive year. This year’s nomination comes in the category of Best Trade Publication, an honor the magazine now has been a finalist in for four straight years, which is a record for SSI parent company Bobit Business Media. SSI won a Maggie Award in 2005.
SSI‘s sister publication Campus Safety is also up for a trophy in the Public Safety/Trade category. This is the second year in a row CS has been nominated for a Maggie. Last year, the publication was a runner-up for the Most Improved/Trade award.
Winners will be announced at the 56th Annual Maggie Awards banquet to be held April 27 at the Westin Hotel at the Los Angeles Airport. The awards recognize magazine publishing excellence in both the consumer and trade arenas, with categories ranging from political issues to alternative lifestyles. Last year, more than 2,000 entries representing 400 magazines were submitted for the awards. More than 600 publishing professionals attended last year’s banquet.
