SSI Rolls Out Red Carpet for 18th Annual SAMMY Winners

LAS VEGASElectronic security professionals arrived at SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION’s 18th Annual SAMMY Awards in Las Vegas on Tuesday to honor the industry’s top sales, marketing, business and installation practices.

Held at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, the evening also included the SSI Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The class of 2013 includes Mike Duffy, John Jennings, Alan Pepper, Morris Weinstock and Tim Whall.

Twelve companies were awarded SAMMY trophies in 13 sales and marketing categories. Bates Security of Lexington, Ky., earned the most SAMMYs, taking home two awards, including Best Vehicle Graphics Design and Best Company Logo.

Among the top award categories, North Canton, Ohio-based Diebold received the Integrated Installation of the Year award. Advance Technology of Scarborough, Maine, claimed the Installer of the Year for small to midsize companies, while Tyco Integrated Solutions (TycoIS) of Boca Raton, Fla., earned Installer of the Year for large companies.
