DELTONA, Fla.—SS&Si Dealer Network has announced the addition of Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) to its growing portfolio of security technologies.
As an authorized distributor, SS&Si now offers its dealers access to this gun-detection solution that is designed to enhance safety and emergency response in active shooter situations.

Shooter Detection Systems Platform Works with Alarm.com
Shooter Detection Systems combines acoustic and infrared sensors to detect gunfire in under a second, sending automated alerts to central stations and first responders with no human intervention required.
Two distinct versions of the gun-detection system are available through the SS&Si Dealer Network:
- SDS Powered by Alarm.com: Designed for integration with Alarm.com for Business, this version includes indoor gunshot sensors that communicate directly through the Alarm.com ecosystem. It does not currently support outdoor detection or third-party video platforms.
- SDS Enterprise Solution: The Shooter Detection Systems standalone version includes indoor and outdoor sensors that can be integrated into third-party VMS platforms. According to SS&Si, this makes SDS Enterprise a powerful hybrid solution that integrates multiple technologies from the SS&Si catalog for flexible deployment in enterprise and commercial environments.
