Published: July 31, 2008

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc. (Stanley CSS) acquired the retail branch business from Norwalk, Conn.-based National Guardian Security Services Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the purchase includes about 3,500 commercial and residential accounts across the United States.

Along with expanding its electronic security platform, Tony Byerly, COO, Stanley CSS, says the purchase will create additional efficiencies for the company’s existing operations in local markets. The majority of the accounts are located in California, Missouri and Kansas.

“Furthermore, National Guardian has a rich history in the alarm industry, led by George Flagg, a highly respected executive leader and alarm operator,” says Byerly. “We look to continue the excellent customer service that National Guardian’s customers have come to expect.”
