Expanding its reach into the government market, Stanley Security Solutions has acquired security integrator ISR Solutions Inc. Based in Washington D.C., 50 percent of ISR’s business comes from U.S. government clients and the company also specializes in serving large corporate clients. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
John Mack, CEO of USBX Advisory Services that counseled ISR in the transaction, says another “large player” approached the integrator in the spring seeking to acquire it. Stanley then came forward with an offer considered more lucrative by ISR and the deal was announced Dec. 13. Mack says ISR will provide a big boost to Stanley’s reach in the government market.
“The big thing they bring is the federal systems business. Stanley was also interested in working with the largest 2,000 companies in the world and ISR has been able to serve them,” says Mack, who adds the deal is a winner for ISR as well. “It’s better to partner up with these guys than to have to compete with them.”
