The Stanley Works of New Britain, Conn., will purchase Best Access Systems of Indianapolis in a $310 million cash deal expected to be completed this month. The Stanely Works manufacturers tools, door hinges and other hardware products.
Company officials say the fate of Best Access’ 750 local employees is undecided; however, Stanely might expand its northeast operation.
