Just three days after he is inducted into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame, Steve Winwood will bring his “Higher Love”
brand of music to a hall full of system integrators.
Winwood and the Motown band The Funk Brothers will open the
2004 PSA Security Network and National Systems Contractors
Association (NSCA) Systems Integration Expo® on March 18 in
Las Vegas.

The opening night show at the Las Vegas Hilton,
called “ExpoJam!” is free to anyone with a badge to the
expo. “It’s an honor to have these legends kickoff this
year’s NSCA Expo,” says Larry Italia, general manager of
show sponsor Yamaha Commercial Audio. “Steve’s music is
really timeless, and we are extremely happy to have him
perform for the commercial audio industry attending the
show.”

Winwood’s career has spanned from belting out hits
like “Gimme Some Lovin'” and “Dear Mr. Fantasy” as a
frontman for The Spencer Davis Group and Traffic, to solo
standards like “Roll With It” and “Back in the High
Life.”

Backing Winwood at the Hilton, The Funk Brothers were the
studio band responsible for the instrumental backing on
several Motown records from 1959 to 1972.
