MILWAUKEE — GE Security has sold off its IDenticard Systems division to a Milwaukee-based identification solutions manufacturer. The Lancaster, Pa.-based IDenticard has been purchased by Brady Corp., which makes such personal ID products such as STOPware, TEMPbadge and J.A.M. Plastics. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Also included in the deal was IDenticard’s Canadian affiliate IDenticam, based in Markham, Ontario.
Founded in 1970, IDenticard was acquired by GE as part of its acquisition last March of Edwards Systems Technology (EST).
The company, which manufactures security cards and technology, had in 2005 sales of $33 million and 156 employees.
