TORRANCE, Calif. – Imagine the surprise of everyone at Security Sales & Integration when long-time Editorial Advisory Board member James Orvis was randomly selected as winner of a Casio digital camera for participating in the magazine’s 2006 Brand Awareness study.

The study, conducted via E-mail and in conjunction with marketing research firm Readex, is designed to assist manufacturers and service providers in getting a perspective on the brands most often used and preferred by SSI readers.

More than 800 respondents participated in the survey. Orvis, who is president of Security Solutions Inc. of Norwalk, Conn., says the chance gift was a shocker to him, as well, and put a big smile on his face.

“Sometimes it pays to do surveys,” he says.
