The coronavirus has had a serious impact on our daily lives. Not even the top surveillance videos of the week are immune to COVID-19.
Due to much of the country (and world) being quarantined, there is unsurprisingly a lack of new interesting surveillance videos. In order to make sure we can keep bringing you this weekly feature to help lighten the mood in these trying times, we will temporarily be reducing the number of videos from 9 to 5.
Now, on to this week’s top surveillance videos…
It’s no secret that China has a stranglehold on its media. Unlike the United States, there is no freedom of press. Should someone speak out negatively towards the country, well, lets just say nefarious incidents may arise.
Last Fall, the printing warehouse of the Hong Kong edition of the Epoch Times was set on fire. Surveillance video shows a group of masked men force their way into the building. They then set the printing equipment on fire (as well as nearly themselves). Eventually employees act to put out the fire.
The newspaper had been reporting on Hong Kong protests over a bill that would allow China to extradite residents or visitors, including journalists and their sources.

Business owners always need to be on the lookout for ex-employees. You never if they might stab you in the back … literally.
Surveillance video from a hemp shop in California shows an employee attack the store’s owner with a large knife moments after being fired. Fortunately for the owner, his brother happened to be at the store and saved him from the attack.
