The coronavirus has had a serious impact on our daily lives. Not even the top surveillance videos of the week are immune to COVID-19.
Due to much of the country (and world) being quarantined, there is unsurprisingly a lack of new interesting surveillance videos. In order to make sure we can keep bringing you this weekly feature to help lighten the mood in these trying times, we will temporarily be reducing the number of videos from 9 to 5.
Now, on to this week’s top surveillance videos…
While the majority of people in the world are doing everything they can to avoid contracting COVID-19, there are a select few that are trying to infect themselves.
Inmates across the country are being released early from prison due to the coronavirus spreading behind bars. Apparently inmates in Los Angeles caught word of this and tried to contract the virus in order to be released.
Surveillance video from an LA County jail shows inmates deliberately trying to infect themselves with the coronavirus by sharing water and a mask. Within within two weeks of the moment caught on video, 30 prisoners tested positive. Unfortunately for them, the Sheriff says they won’t be going anywhere.

Surveillance video from earlier this year shows a teen running down a New York City street being attacked by two men with a machete.
He eventually ducks into a deli where he is soon tended to by quick-acting police officers as he’s bleeding profusely.
