In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…
I don’t think it needs to be said how dangerous fireworks can be. One of the more popular and commonly found types of fireworks is the sparkler. Sparklers are generally pretty harmless though, right? Not so fast!
Surveillance footage from China shows what happens when you combine a sparkler with built-up gas.
The footage shows a child walking around with sparklers in hand. The child then drops one of the sparklers down a manhole. It looks like it then ignites something which sends the child scurrying.
All of the sudden there is a massive blast, sending bricks flying. Fortunately the child was uninjured. Officials say the sparkler ignited methane trapped in the sewers.
Also this week…
The last thing a parent wants is for their child to be harmed in any way. So imagine how this mother felt when she checked her rear-view and realized her toddler (and car seat) were gone.
A dash cam caught the moment the child, strapped in her car seat, felt out of her mother’s car as she was taking a turn. Thanks to a bunch of good samaritans, she would end up being okay.
