In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…
Here’s a little tip for all you aspiring filmmakers out there — never film without a permit.
That way, if you’re filming something like a robbery, you won’t have to worry about the real police showing up and mistaking you for a real criminal.
Because that’s exactly what happened recently in Indiana.
Watch the footage!
Bodycam footage shows a police officer approach the “suspect” who is wearing a mask and holding a (fake) gun.
The police officer fires a warning round (or did he just miss?) and tells the suspect to drop the gun. The suspect eventually says “we’re doing a movie” and an awkward pause ensues.
What started off as a mistake almost ended in tragedy. So let that be a lesson to all you future Steven Spielbergs out there, notify the local police if you are shooting a movie, especially if it involves armed robbery.
Also this week…
Surveillance footage from Brooklyn shows the moment two men attempted to abduct a 15-year old girl who was waiting for the bus.
According to ABC 7, the suspects have since been caught and arrested.
