This woman in Michigan learned that the hard way.

Surveillance video from a gas station captured the moment a man walks up to a woman’s car while she is pumping gas, gets in and drives away.

The woman doesn’t realize what is happening at first, but quickly jumps in the car before the thief takes off.

However, he doesn’t get very far. While still in the lot, a truck driver comes over to help. He pulls the thief out of the car and a brief scuffle ensues before the would-be carjacker escapes.

Also this week…

Another would-be automotive thief had even less luck last week in Los Angeles. Surveillance footage shows the thief vandalizing a luxury car rental business, causing more than $50,000 worth of damage.

The thief spent 2 hours at the business before leaving empty-handed after failing to smash a car through the lot’s metal gate.
