Synergx Systems Inc. announces that its Casey Systems subsidiary has received an initial $400,000 purchase order of what is expected to be a multimillion-dollar contract for the design, development and supply of the next-generation CCTV and security system for the New York City Transit Authority.

The security solution is to be installed at 32 stations identified by the Transit Authority as part of its station security, communication and upgrade project, according to a company statement.

The contract follows Casey’s installation of a prototype system at the 231st Street station, located in the Bronx. Casey engineers designed and developed the system using next-generation technologies from a variety of manufacturers brought together by the company’s systems integration team.

Synergx manufactures and services data communication products and systems for the fire alarm, safety, security and communication industries.
