Systems Integrators Learn Business Management Strategies at NSCA Conference

DALLAS — More than 230 attendees convened here at the 14th annual National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) Business & Leadership Conference (BLC) to discuss management strategies, accounting processes and other issues affecting the industry.

Held March 1-3, the BLC offered sessions informing companies on how to effectively use social media networks to connect with customers. Cameron Herold, founder of BackPocket COO, a business coaching and mentoring company, served as the keynote speaker. During his speech, Herold addressed the management styles and strategies business owners can use to motivate employees.

Among the ancillary goings-on, the NSCA Education Foundation hosted a golf tournament, plus attendees had the opportunity to tour Cowboys Stadium.

Each year the annual conference also serves as a networking event, providing the opportunity for participants to forge and develop new business relationships. For example, a partnership fostered at the BLC between Altel Systems and SVT created more than $25 million in business, according NSCA.

“My participation in this event helped me create strategic partnerships due to my business location in New York City,” says Todd Margolis, president, Daymar Communications, an A/V system design and integration company. “It has proven to be very beneficial to my company, and getting jobs I would not otherwise be able to secure. This event goes above and beyond my expectations.”
