TAC, a provider of building automation, security and energy solutions, recently acquired Applied Control Technology of Raleigh, N.C., one of its most prominent business partners. Details regarding the agreement have yet to be disclosed.
“Acquiring Applied Control Technologies will provide critical mass in TAC’s existing operations in North Carolina and increase service revenues for TAC with a broader customer base,” says Dean Meyer, president of TAC. “Furthermore, the acquisition increases TAC’s security and fire expertise in this region and improves our ability to sell integrated systems. It also provides expanded local execution capability in the area.”
Applied Control, which was founded in 1982, employs 130 people and is made up of a number of business units, including controls, security, fire, mechanical service, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The firm produces a wide selection of building environmental control systems, mostly in the state of North Carolina.
TAC plans to absorb Applied Control Technologies’ operations into its systems integration business.
