Telemetry Systems Inc. (TSI), a residential and commercial security systems integrator, announces it will distribute a monitoring system by Living Independently Group Inc. that enables senior citizens to live with greater safety and independence.

TSI, through its established partnership with Security Associates International Inc. (SAI), will make the QuietCare® monitoring system and monitoring services available to SAI’s nationwide safety and security dealer network. Once certified through TSI and Living Independently Group, SAI-affiliated dealers will provide local sales, installation and maintenance services for the QuietCare system, the company says.

QuietCare helps seniors and other at-risk individuals live independently by providing their caregivers with round-the-clock information about their safety and well-being, according to Living Independently Group. Placed throughout the home, QuietCare’s wireless sensors can monitor an individual’s patterns of daily activity, and when changes in key behaviors and movements are detected, the system issues alerts to the caregiver.

QuietCare alerts can indicate developing health problems or emergencies such as falling down, plus medication handling, meal preparation, overall activity and dangerously high or low home temperatures.

All systems will be supported with 24-hour monitoring by SAI from its UL-Rated monitoring centers. In the event of an emergency, a specially trained emergency response operator will first call the individual and, if needed, designated family members, caregivers or local emergency services. The system detects emergencies—without the use of cameras or audio equipment—even if the individual cannot call for help on their own, the company says.
