Telular Corp. reports revenue of $28 million for its third fiscal quarter ended June 30, $18 million more than the same period in 2000. Company officials also reported quarterly earnings of $4 million, an improvement of $5 million from the same period last year.
Telular has generated $82 million in revenue and has earned $12 million during the nine months ended June 30, compared to $30 million in revenue and a loss of $5 million for the same period in 2000. “This is the ninth consecutive quarter with at least a double-digit increase in our Fixed Wireless business—a 227-percent increase compared to the same quarter of last fiscal year,” says Kenneth Millard, president and CEO. “We continue to build on our successes in Latin America as we focus new product and marketing strategies on the next generation of GSM and CDMA networks that are just beginning to emerge around the world.”
Telular earned $4 million, or 27 cents a share, during the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $1 million, or 11 cents a share, a year earlier. On a fiscal year-to-date basis, the company earned $12 million, or 94 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $5 million, or 44 cents a share, a year earlier.
In other company news, Telular’s board of directors has been expanded to seven. Mitch Saranow has been elected to the board of directors and audit committee.
