A Weatherford, Texas-based integrator has performed a 16-camera CCTV installation for a county courthouse and integrated it with a Mitsubishi DVR system. David Smedley, whose integration company is named after himself, recently installed the enterprise-grade DX-L5000U advanced digital video recording system at Parker County District Courthouse in Weatherford, Texas.
Mitsubishi says that the new system will increase efficiency of security procedures while lowering overhead costs for the department.
According to Mitsubishi, the DX-5000U is connected to 16 cameras installed in two large courtrooms, county official’s offices, holding cells and parking lots using coaxial cable. Using two monitors at a central security station, sheriff deputies are able to view the camera feed.
An interactive training guide was provided by Mitsubishi that enables officers to set quickly and easily gain familiarity with the DVR’s advanced features. One of the most helpful features built into the DVR is that of individually setting the picture resolution rather than using one slow speed to monitor all the cameras in the system.
