WOODBURY, N.Y. – Tri-Ed President and CEO Pat Comunale figures he hasn’t sported facial hair going on four decades. That long, bare-faced stretch is over. Comunale has sprouted a moustache and goatee to raise awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation.

A global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives, The Movember Foundation has, since 2003, raised $650 million and funded more 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Tri-Ed, An Anixter Company, has taken on a personal pledge to support men’s health, and honor its colleague and friend, Bill Brown, who lost his battle with cancer in August.

“I’m very proud to take on this challenge,” Comunale says. “The Movember Foundation brings leading experts together from around the world to collaborate on solutions that will fundamentally change the way men’s health issues are treated and supported. I hope that by making this November my hairiest month, we can all raise funds together for a great cause and honor Bill Brown’s memory in the process.”
