As usual, the security industry saw a number of major acquisitions over the past year. While those deals typically make up the majority of the top stories of the month, it’s clear that this year, stories about legal issues were a hot topic.

SSI has compiled the top 10 most viewed stories from the past year. There is a mix of topics on this list, with lawsuits and government bans taking the lead with three stories, followed by several M&A deals.

Also of note, a quiz made the year-end list. If you haven’t checked out SSI‘s new quiz section, you’ll find topics ranging from fire codes and government agencies, to security system design and former company names.

The most popular story on SSI was the announcement that MONI would be bringing back the Brinks Home Security brand, less than two years after rebranding itself from Monitronics.
