Every week, Security Sales & Integration shows good examples of surveillance cameras being put to use to hold criminals accountable. Then there’s the occasional video that surfaces that shakes you to your core.
That’s the case in a surveillance video released in Phoenix of a man, who had brutally stomped two cats to death, throwing their bodies into a nearby dumpster.
The owner of the pet store thought the cats had merely been stolen. He was wrong.
“I’d just like to see the guy taken off the street,” Planet Petopia Owner Gus Erickson said. “If it’s not cats, it will be people next or something different, and cats are bad enough.”
The footage is not of the best quality, but police are still hopeful the evidence can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
The horrific video leads off this week’s Surveillance Videos of the Week. Other videos include a disgruntled customer at an auto store driving his car into the store after a sales dispute, as well as an apparent hate crime at a gas station in Wichita, Kan.
