As it turns out, some good can come from inmates breaking out of their cells. In this case, it saved a correction officer’s life.
The officer was conversing with the inmates in the minimum security holding room of a district court building in Texas when the officer went unresponsive. The surveillance footage shows the inmates realizing the situation and wanting to help, but were locked behind the doors of the cell. That didn’t stop them from breaking through the door and getting the necessary help to save the man’s life.
Captain Mark Arnett credits the inmates with saving the officer’s life.
The video leads off this week’s installment of the Surveillance Videos of the Week. Watch the other seven videos at the link above, including shocking footage of a woman’s car being robbed while she sat in a drive-thru lane at Dunkin Donuts.
