The Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group of Irvine, Calif., and Keyscan Inc. of Pickering, Ontario, Canada, have agreed to collaborate on the development of software that will integrate Toshiba’s digital video recording technologies with Keyscan’s security solutions. According to Toshiba, the partnership’s first product will be a new application programming interface (API) software module designed to add verification and consolidated management control to systems that employ Keyscan Management Systems V software and Toshiba Surveillix digital video recorders.
This new API module will enable customer’s to integrate these two security technologies so video viewing, recording, image storage, search and playback become an integral part of the access control operations. It will enable live viewing along with advanced search and playback capabilities.
