Total Recall Deploys Video Surveillance System at Concert for Valor
The New York-based integrator deployed its CrimeEye citywide surveillance unit, which includes Axis Communications dome network cameras.
WASHINGTON – Total Recall Corp., a video-centric security provider, supplied a video surveillance system to help protect the Concert for Valor in Washington, D.C., held on the National Mall on Veteran’s Day.
Several hundred thousand people attended the concert, which featured performances by Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, Eminem, Rhianna and many other performers.
The New York-based integrator provided the video surveillance system for the event’s hosts, the National Park Service (NPS) and the United States Park Police. The celebration – sponsored by Starbucks, HBO, Chase, Twitter and the Caring for Military Families charity – was created to honor veterans, active duty service members and their families.
Total Recall Corp. deployed its CrimeEye citywide surveillance unit, which includes HDTV-quality Axis Communications dome network cameras, to provide situational awareness to help monitor access and egress to the National Mall. The company also used Dallmeier’s Multifocal Sensor System Panomera cameras for security coverage of the event. The cameras are adept at providing all-encompassing video surveillance of expansive areas. The new technology in Dallmeier’s Panomera cameras was one tool used to help monitor the crowd as a whole, with the added ability of zooming in on specific detail if a situation arose.
“We are grateful to take this opportunity to recognize the service of our current and former members of the military,” says Total Recall Corp. President Jordan Heilweil. “It’s also an honor to be called upon time and again to provide security services for the [NPS] and for the historical landmarks they protect. The fact that Total Recall Corporation is entrusted to provide video surveillance security for literally hundreds of thousands of citizens at a single event is a testament to our ability and expertise.”
Last year Total Recall Corp. donated a sophisticated surveillance upgrade to help restore security for the Statue of Liberty, which was seriously damaged during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
