CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.—TouchTone Communications, a nationwide integrated communications service provider, has announced its participation as an Authorized Partner Originating Service Provider (OSP) within the Branded Calling ID (BCID) ecosystem.
TouchTone Communications asserts that as an authorized OSP within the BCID it can now provide the only industry-led, standards-based service that delivers secure and verifiable branded caller ID across networks and mobile devices.
“Restoring trust in the voice channel requires more than just managing phone number reputation management,” says Pino Bio, president of TouchTone Communications. “By becoming a BCID Authorized Partner, we’re contributing to a unified, secure approach to branded calling—one that protects consumers and improves connection rates for legitimate businesses.”
BCID Services Minimize the Nuisance of Telemarketers and Other Wasteful Calls
Through this partnership TouchTone Communications points out, that it can now offer its customers a fully verified branded calling solution that works seamlessly across participating U.S. mobile carriers. Businesses, the company explains, will be able to display authenticated caller information—such as their name, logo and reason for calling —on their customers’ mobile screens, to help ensure calls are recognized, trusted and answered.
TouchTone emphasizes the BCID initiative is a standards-based framework developed by and for the telecom industry. It leverages FCC-mandated STIR/SHAKEN call authentication protocols to validate caller identity, while delivering branded content that improves call transparency to provide a more trusted call experience.
As an OSP in the BCID ecosystem, TouchTone suggests that it can play a key role in originating and delivering branded calls, ensuring they are properly vetted and trusted end-to-end.
“We are committed to protecting brand identity, combating fraud, and restoring confidence in voice communication,” adds Bio.
TouchTone boasts that ultimately, BCID empowers businesses to maintain brand integrity, reduce call blocking, and drive higher engagement to improve business outcomes.
