The False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) is introducing a two-day training course for public safety designed to open better communication between public safety and alarm industry professionals concerning false alarms and develop better methods to prevent them. The regional training program, called “How to Implement Your Successful Solution to False Alarms,” will be conducted for the first time on March 30 and 31 at the ADI-Dallas facility in Farmers Branch, Texas, near Dallas, and will be offered free of charge.

During the training sessions, FARA says attendees will be cover topics such as common alarm management terms, defining the scope of the false alarm problem, causes and solutions, and the design, adoption, and implementation of a false alarm reduction program.

The event is being held jointly with the Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (TBFAA) and the North Texas Alarm Association (NTAA).

FARA also plans two-day training sessions in Toronto and Chicago before the end of the year and says it is open to partnering with other alarm associations to present false alarm training in other cities.
