Tri-Ed’s 2009 Technology Tour is now traveling across the United States, offering IP expertise to dealers and integrators as part of the wholesale distributor’s Masters Training Program.
The courses are instructed by Jeff Stout, Tri-Ed’s business development manager, who says dealers have been extremely enthusiastic about the simplicity of IP cameras and the ease of hook up. Garnering the most interest have been networking topics that include megapixel video surveillance, network architecture and network video software.
Vendor presentations and a tabletop showcase are also available for attendees. “All the participating vendors were very pleased with the level of interest, turnouts, and time they were afforded to spend with the dealers,” says Stout.
Stops for the tour this year have included Boston; Milford, Conn.; Dallas; San Antonio; Portland; Kent, Wash.; Kansas City; Chicago; and in California alone, Riverside, Garden Grove, San Leandro and Sacramento.
