Tyco Fire & Security announced the new president for its
business unit, SimplexGrinnell. In his new
role, Dean Seavers, formerly a vice president of sister
business unit ADT North America, will lead a team of 12,000
employees at Tyco’s Boca Raton, Fla., headquarters.
Seavers joined Tyco in 1999 as the Florida ADT Regional
Vice President of Operations. In 2001, he was promoted to
the vice president for the Southeast U.S. Region, which
became a top-performing ADT region under Seavers.
A graduate of Kent State University in Ohio, Seavers
previously worked at PepsiCo. and Burger King Corp. He also
holds a master’s degree in business administration from
Stanford University.
