UCC to Offer Monitored Video Services Through CheckVideo Partnership

SAN ANTONIO — As part of a new strategic partnership with CheckVideo, United Central Control (UCC) will offer a robust menu of monitored video services to end users through more than 500 dealers nationwide.

One of the main reasons UCC paired up with CheckVideo, a provider of cloud-based intelligent video surveillance and alarm verification solutions, is consumers’ increased interest in monitored video services.

“The opportunity in video is enormous,” UCC Senior Vice President Mark Matlock says. “Video alarm verification is just the tip of the iceberg. As video grows into an accepted — and highly desired — component of managed security, more customers are asking for monitored video services.”

With CheckVideo, central station operators are alerted to specific events, such as the presence of people or vehicles at specific times and locations, helping them to differentiate between false alarms and events of interest. Additionally, CheckVideo alerts can be used to dispatch authorities or trigger voice down audio announcements in the event of suspicious activity. They can also be used for operational concerns such as tracking deliveries and business opening/closing times.

In partnership with CheckVideo, UCC will offer video services including video detection and response, video alarm verification, virtual guard tours, access control and business optimization. Both companies have already begun to provide accredited video surveillance services sales and technical training to the UCC dealer network.

“Team UCC understands video monitoring technology and how to integrate it with operational protocols to provide outstanding customer service,” CheckVideo Vice President Chris Brown says. “We are delighted to partner with them to roll out video services to their entire dealer network.”
