Ultrak Inc. announces that its UltraDome(tm) KD6 has won three awards at Securex 2000, Poland’s main international security show held in Ponznan. The Polish Society of Alarm System Producers, Designers and Installers (Polalarm) awarded the product two prizes: the Polish Master of Alarm Technik 2000 for first place in the CCTV category for foreign products and the Golden Armour for best foreign security product in Poland. Additionally, the surveillance camera received the top honor, the Pozan International Fair (PIF) Gold Medal.

Recently, while Ultrak representatives were demonstrating the UltraDome KD6 to a school district in a suburb of Phoenix, they detected and stopped a crime in progress in the school’s parking lot. The camera allowed them to not only spot the crime, but identify the perpetrator (an expelled student) and view the license plate on the car that was being broken into, all from 200 yards away. “Both the dome’s high-speed capabilities and its remarkable zoom performance are proving to be an effective crime deterrent tool at school systems throughout the country,” says Jeff Blum, vice president of sales, Eastern Region.
