Universal Protection Service Changes Ownership

Published: April 18, 2007

Universal Protection Service, a privately owned electronic security, fire system service and security guard firm, has announced Brian Cescolini and Steve Jones became the sole owners of the company on Jan. 1. Cescolini will continue to lead as the company’s president and chief executive officer and Jones will remain as the executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Universal Protection Service was founded in 1965 by Stephen Salyer and Jim Moses. “We started the company right out of college at our kitchen table,” says Moses, former chairman of the board. “From the beginning we wanted to create an organization that was recognized for outstanding service and innovative tradition.”

Headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif. with offices located throughout California, Arizona and Colorado, the management team plans to invest time, energy and finances over the next several years into new technology, training programs and people to provide a higher level of customer service, in addition to new branch locations.
