Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, N.Y., announces upgrades in its ViconNet software. The latest revision includes “recording verification server (RVS),” which is a self-monitoring feature that tracks the integrity of the video data stored on a Kollector Elite or Pro Recorder when auto recording. The new RVS system sends immediate notification when there is an interruption in recorder operations.
In addition, a feature called “central failure notification (CFN)” was added to the software that monitors database integrity, hard drive function, network communication and compression conformity.
