Uplink Remote 2.1 Release Supports New Video Services

ATLANTA – Numerex, a provider of wireless security alarm communicator products, announces that its Uplink Security business unit has released an upgrade to its Uplink Remote solution. Uplink Remote 2.1 will allow customers to remotely control an alarm system through the use of secure mobile and Web applications, according to the company.

Available for iOS, Android and Web users, Uplink Remote 2.1 introduces new features including an improved interface, enhanced graphics, simplified navigation, faster performance and dealer specific branding. The new release allows users to arm/disarm a security panel, receive alarm notifications and weather alerts and control home automation devices, such as lights and thermostats supported by compatible alarm panels, according to the company.

As part of the Uplink Remote 2.1 release, new video services give users the option of accessing live or recorded video streams from their home or business through the Uplink Remote Web and through a mobile application. Alarm dealers can utilize the camera’s built-in discovery feature to connect a camera via a home router to enable the service, according to the company. The new video services offering features both indoor and outdoor motion detecting cameras; and dealers can choose from three levels of service, including live feeds and up to two gigabytes of cloud video storage.
