PARAMUS, N.J. — USA Security Services, based here, has acquired the customer contracts and certain select assets of Advanced Security Systems of Tenafly, N.J.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1976 with more than 2,000 accounts, Advanced Security Systems operates on the fringes of USA’s service area and will increase USA’s residential presence substantially, according to a press release.
Several Advanced Security employees will be relocated to USA’s facility in Paramus.
“We have been preparing for months for this acquisition,” says Joseph A. Fiscella, chairman and CEO of USA Security. “I can remember Advanced being a formidable competitor in the 1980s and ’90s, and I am happy that Brian Kelly, president of Advanced, decided to look to USA and its 50 years of experience to make this deal.”
Kelly will continue with USA Security in a sales and consulting capacity, according to the press release.
USA Security provides security services throughout New Jersey, the five boroughs of New York, plus Rockland and Westchester counties in New York. The acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in Northern New Jersey and other parts of the state.
Moving forward the acquired company will be referred to as Advanced Security Systems, a division of USA Security Services.
USA Security Services has provided security and fire/life-safety alarm services and building solutions to homeowners, developers, institutions and the realty management industry since 1978. The company also provides UL-certified monitoring services.
