SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah-based security company is doing something about the rising security concerns over drones.
Security 101 hosted Utah’s first Drone Security Summit in which it discussed using radar company SpotterRF to detect drones posing a threat, according to a FOX 13 report.

It produces an economical radar that is being used on every continent and by the National Park Service and the military.
“We have been listening to our corporate customers that have been terrified of this new threat that drones present, whether it’s a passive threat or a malicious threat,” said Nancy Ford, CEO of Security 101. “From a child in [the] parking lot of a stadium because he couldn’t get a ticket to the game flying his drone over to see it, to a malicious threat from a group of people trying to do something bad at a venue.”
Invited to the summit were law enforcement, power plant owners, refineries, Boeing and the military.
