BATAVIA, Ill.—Vanco International LLC, a developer of AV distribution and electronic accessory products, has announced a new line of TAA-compliant cables suitable for any federally funded project or sensitive application.

Vanco’s new TAA-compliant cable line includes HDMI, USB Type A to Type C, and USB Type C to Type C cables that are available in a variety of lengths. Like all Vanco A/V cables, these cables are backed by a lifetime warranty to support professional integrators and security dealers.

“TAA compliance is about more than adherence to the letter of the law,” says Aaron Rozanski, director of distribution markets, Vanco. “It’s about security and reliability. Even non-governmental organizations often require TAA compliance to ensure that any technology in the building is sourced from a friendly nation. Vanco offers a full suite of TAA-compliant solutions for sensitive applications, so meeting this demand is never a hassle.”

The T255 Performance Series, available in 1-, 3-, or 6-foot lengths and the cables provide HDMI 1.4 compatibility with 10.2Gbps high-speed data transfer. The TAA-compliant cables support video resolutions up to 4K, and features such as 100 Mbps HDMI Ethernet channels, 3D compatibility, and ARC functionality.

The step-up TPRHD Pro Series delivers HDMI 2.0 functionality with full 18Gbps bandwidth, enabling 4K resolution at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma and HDR support. The TPRHD Pro Series also accommodates up to 32 audio channels with ARC, including advanced audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio, and the products are EMI-tested for minimal wireless interference. The Pro series cables are available in 1-, 3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, or 20-foot lengths.

Both series feature robust SecureFit connectors, pull-tested up to seven pounds.

Vanco’s TAA-compliant USB cables can connect anything from legacy to gear to next-generation solutions.  The TUS2AC USB-A to USB-C series supports USB 2.0 with 480 Mbps data throughput. These cables are said to be five times faster than USB 1.1 connections.

The TUS2CC USB-C to USB-C Cable Series meets USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards with power delivery, high-speed device charging, and up to 5Gbps high speed data transfer. For the most advanced devices, Vanco states the TUS3CC USB-C to USB-C Cable Series supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, with up to 10Gbps high-speed data transfer, as well as high-speed charging and power delivery.

All Vanco USB cables are fully backwards compatible with earlier USB standards.

Vanco emphasizes that TAA-compliant products must be made or “substantially altered” in the United States or a designated trading partner nation. All federal and military projects, as well as state and local government or education projects receiving federal funds, are required to use TAA-compliant products. Vendors who cannot prove compliance may be disqualified from bidding or even face legal consequences. Vanco’s new line of TAA-compliant cables, made in Laos were developed to make it significantly easier to spec and bid on federally funded projects or any project requiring TAA adherence.

Vanco’s TAA-compliant USB and HDMI cables begin shipping on May 31
