Effective immediately, Vancouver Island Software Corp. has changed its name to 360 Surveillance Inc. According to the company, it performed this name change to better reflect the universal nature of its Camera Cameleon CCTV control system software. No aspects of the company’s ownership or methods of serving its clients have been affected by this change.
“We made the change strictly for image and marketing reasons,” says D’Arcy Davidson, president of 360 Surveillance. “We found that our previous name was too regional and did not reflect the global nature of the company and its products.”
360 Surveillance works with leading security systems integrators across North America, and has also formed an agreement with networking giant Nortel Networks to provide its flagship product, Camera Cameleon, as a front-end control system for their SONET video networking systems.
