Vector Security Inc., a provider of electronic security systems and uniformed guard services, announces it has acquired three security companies.
Custom Security Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, Security Concepts/National Security of Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, Va., and WiredUp Inc. of Williamsburg, Va., were purchased by Vector, increasing its total number of acquisitions for the year to six.
Vector Security says its acquisition of Custom Security will increase its residential and commercial customer base presence within the Columbus area. Customer Security will retain key personnel, including Andy Conti, who will now be Vector’s area manager of sales and operations.
Security Concepts and National Security, both owned by Ron Smullen, were purchased by Vector to enable it to establish a new branch office in the Harrisonburg/Charlottesville area, which will be affiliated with Vector’s Richmond, Va., district, the company says. Thirty key personnel in sales and operations will be retained by Vector, including Smullen, who will become the manager of the new branch office.
Vector acquired WiredUp Inc., a provider of home networking services, to help it increase its presence in the burgeoning construction markets in Virginia. WiredUp Manager Matt Kurdziolek will remain as manager of the new Vector office.
