Vector Security Takes Ownership of Cain Security
PITTSBURGH
Vector Security has acquired Washington, D.C.-based Cain Security after sharing similar histories over a span of 25 years.
Vector Security originated as one of the largest Philadelphia-based Westec dealers. The company then acquired a Westec dealer in Western Pennsylvania and made Pittsburgh its corporate services center. Over that same period, Cain Security, another Westec dealer, rose to occupy and serve a very similar space in the electronic security industry in the Washington, D.C., area.
“There has been so much said recently about the value of returning to a sense of genuine customer service. But while some companies need to find their way back to that quality of customer service, Cain Security and Vector never strayed from that shared core philosophy,” says Vector Security President John A. Murphy. “It’s what propelled our parallel missions over the past few decades, and what brings us together today.”
As part of the acquisition arrangement, Vector Security will retain all of Cain Security’s employees and its office location based in Alexandria, Va.
