Verint Networked Video Solution Selected for JFK Airport Rail System

MELVILLE, N.Y.
Published: October 11, 2005

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will use
Verint Systems Inc.’s networked video solution, Nextiva, to
enhance security of its 8.1-mile AirTrain JFK light rail
system. AirTrain provides on-airport transportation for
travelers and connects JFK Airport to New York City’s mass-
transit system.

The Nextiva solution allows organizations of any size to
enhance its security and performance of business operations
by networking video across multiple locations and applying
advanced content analytics to extract actionable
intelligence for live and stored video.

The Port Authority will use Nextiva, which will be
delivered in conjunction with Verint partner IK Systems
Inc., to enable its police force to enhance security of the
rail system by centrally monitoring elevators, passenger
platforms and certain parts of the track from a central
operations center.
