Verint Systems Inc. Broadens Offerings With RP Security Acquisition
MELVILLE, N.Y.
Verint Systems Inc., a provider of software solutions for networked video security, business intelligence and communications interception, announced its acquisition of Germany-based RP Sicherheitssysteme GmbH (RP Security). Verint software is used to collect, retain and analyze voice, fax, video, E-mail, Internet and data transmissions from various communications networks.
RP Security is a developer of mobile video security technology for the transportation industry. Its products include DSP-based mobile devices, video processing technology and fleet video management software.
Through this acquisition Verint will be able to extend its reach into the mass transportation industry to design solutions that address the growing need for strong security systems.
“RP Security’s technology strengthens our video offering for the mobile transportation market and provides our customers with and effective solution to improve the security of the mobile infrastructure and enhance public safety,” said Dan Bodner, president and CEO of Verint Systems, in a statement.
