Vicon H.264 Encoders

Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, N.Y., releases two H.264 network encoders, a 4-channel and 16-channel model, that convert analog camera inputs (both NTSC/EIA and PAL/CCIR) into streamed IP video data.

The encoder devices support Full pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) control, alarm reporting, picture quality configuration, external sensors, macros and alarm configurations, according to the company. When used as part of the company’s ViconNet video management system (VMS), the device comes equipped with advanced features such as museum search that permits users to conduct quick analysis of recorded events, as well as dynamic load balancing and automatic detection.
