Vicon to Launch Integrated Access Control Solution at ISC West
The video management system and IP camera provider announced its new access control solution is fully scalable to accommodate small and enterprise-scale installations.
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. – Vicon Industries, a provider of video security systems and IP cameras, said it will launch an IP-based access control management system at ISC West 2015.
The announcement is in keeping with a new company directive to drive standards-based interoperation. The access control system was designed for complete integration with the company’s video management system, ViconNet, according to a press release. This will allow for the automatic linking of the VMS with corresponding access control events, which can then be called up and viewed via the Vicon interface.

Vicon’s access control solution is fully scalable to accommodate small and enterprise-scale installations. Its browser-based interface enables control of the system from any Web-enabled PC. With patent-pending hardware, the system’s controller architecture is built with a single board, offering an embedded request-to-exit motion sensor, on-board communications, back-up battery support and removable terminal blocks.
“As an integrated solutions provider, we have identified trends in the security industry towards total building solutions, and are pleased to introduce our customers to a single, network-wide system that integrates video management with physical security solutions,” says Bret McGowan, Vicon’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
