Video Device Tracks Single, Multiple Objects, and Auto Zooms

Published: October 31, 2006

The CloseView by DynaPel of Fort Myers, Fla., is an object-tracking system that can follow multiple objects with one pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) camera system. The system is designed to allow the capture of usable ID images for identification purposes. The technology works with manned and unmanned video surveillance systems. In unattended mode, the system will work in applications such as parking lots, warehouses and in almost any high-security situation.

The CloseView system will work in video systems that are tasked with the surveillance of entrance and exit roads in tandem with license plate recognition systems. The system can be selectively programmed to track single or multiple targets without regard to size or speed of motion, and also includes a sensitivity adjustment. When detected motion occurs, the system will direct the camera’s zoom lens to magnify the image, if desired.
