In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…
There has been a long-time debate about whether or not kids emulate what they see on TV. However, that’s usually in regards to content that might be inappropriate in one way or another.
“Law & Order: SVU” might not be one of the first shows that you let your kid watch, but this surveillance video may make you reconsider.
Video footage from Florida shows an 11-year-old fight off a suspected abductor armed with a knife. During the alleged kidnapping attempt, the girl smudges the blue slime she was playing with on the suspect’s arm.
Why? She says she learned on “Law & Order: SVU” that you should try to leave some type of evidence on a suspect so police have an easy time identifying them. I think we have a future crime investigator on our hands.
Also this week…
Burglars will use a whole host of different schemes in order to get into someone’s home. One example recently captured on a home security camera is the “distraction scam.”
A man knocks on the door and when the homeowner comes out, he says he is a contractor working on a neighbor’s home. He makes the homeowner come outside to look at a piece of the property far from his house.
Another man with a walkie-talkie can then be seen entering the home. Fortunately, another person was home and asked him to leave. That suspect then radios his partner and they flee the scene.
