Biometrics solutions provider Viisage Technology Inc. has acquired all the intellectual property and related assets of the Miros division of eTrue.com, a face-recognition firm with customer installations worldwide. Viisage also acquired the division’s customer base and new distribution channels.
As a result of the acquisition, Viisage says it will expand its face-recognition market penetration, with more than 400 face-recognition installations in Europe, and an distribution network in the United States and abroad.
